Shannon Parry works passionately to create communities where environmental protection, economic vitality and social justice are woven into daily practice. To that end, she manages Santa Monica’s Sustainable City Program and oversees the sustainability, watershed management, drought response, energy and green building sections of the Santa Monica Office of Sustainability and the Environment.
Dean Kubani is the Manager of Santa Monica's Office of Sustainability and the Environment. Since 1994, Dean has directed the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of the Santa Monica Sustainable City Program. Dean is also past president of the Board of Trustees of Ocean Charter School in Marina del Rey, CA and is the current president of the Board of Directors for Co-opportunity, a cooperative natural foods store located in Santa Monica. Previously, Dean worked as a Policy Analyst in the non-profit sector and was a Project Manager for an environmental engineering firm in Southern California. He lives in Santa Monica with his wife and two daughters.
